Children’s Author Shares Unique Ways To Get Kids Reading This Summer

Interview Author & Literacy Advocate Carew Papritz

Summer is meant for kids to have fun, go on adventures, and have a break from traditional schooling.Although relaxed play is needed for development, it is easy for students to fall behind academically.

To combat the summer slide, children’s author, Carew Papritz is sharing adventurous ways to keep young minds sharp, including a FREE world-wide reading event that he created which combines literacy, technology, and of course awesome PRIZES!

“Today, many children see reading as a boring activity that just can’t compete with the stimulation of technology,” says Papritz. “That’s why we need to get creative if we want to encourage a love of reading.”

Papritz designed the “Where’s the Book Youtube Scavenger Hunt” as a way to bridge the gap between the need for digital stimulation and traditional literacy education. The event is a new, interesting way to inspire kids to read and it is meant to spark childhood fun and curiosity over the summer.
